Aiken Classes
Pre-Registration for these classes is required through the City of Aiken, Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department at 803-642-7631.
All classes are held indoors at the Odell Weeks Center on Whiskey Road.

Puppy Class
The next sets of classes will be
held on Wednesday evenings, January 25 - February 29, 2012;  5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

and on Wednesday evenings, March 14 - April 18, 2012;  5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

Puppies should be ten weeks to twenty weeks of age as of the first class date. This class runs for six weeks. The AKC S.T.A.R. (Socialization, Training, Activity, Responsibility) test will be offered FREE during the last class to those puppies and owners who qualify.  Classes are designed to provide owners with information on how to handle a new puppy. Puppies must have record of two sets of shots.

Basic Dog Training
The next sets of classes will be
held on Wednesday evenings, January 25 - February 29, 2012;  7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

and on Wednesday evenings, March 14 - April 18, 2012;  7:00 - 8:00 p.m

Dogs should be at least five months old for this class. This class runs for six weeks. Your dog will learn the basic commands of come, sit, down, stay, wait, stand, etc. We will cover basic care of dogs and what to expect as the training progresses. You must provide a copy of your dog's rabies certificate.

Edgefield Classes
 

PLEASE Contact Pat if you are interested in an Edgefield class.  Pre-registration is necessary for us to determine if there is enough interest to hold the class.  In order for your dog to receive the benefits of socialization and interaction, the class must have a minimum of four (4) dogs.  To insure that each student has the opportunity for individual attention, class size is limited to a maximum of eight (8) dogs.
 

Puppy Training Class

Designed to provide owners with information on how to handle a new puppy.
Puppies will learn a variety of skills and commands.
The AKC S.T.A.R. (Socialization, Training, Activity, Responsibility) test will be offered FREE to students during the last class to those puppies and owners who qualify.
 

Good Manners Dog Training Class
Dogs should be at least five months old for this class.
This class runs for six weeks.
Your dog will learn the basic commands of come, sit, down, stay, wait, stand, etc.
We will cover basic care of dogs and what to expect as the training progresses.
Proof of rabies vaccination is needed
EXTRA!  The AKC Canine Good Citizen Test will be offered FREE to students after the class is completed.
